My thoughts for my boys at the end of the day

Dear Jasper and Gideon,

I'm so glad I get to be your mommy. I love you both so much. You are both such sweet, sweet boys. What a blessing you have been in my life. What joy you bring me everyday. I feel so fortunate that I get to be home with you two and share the simple and extraordinary moments of childhood with you.

Please remember to always love and respect one another. Please don't fight over toys. It's so silly and it drives me batty. You know, if you fight over a toy too much, I'll give it away to Goodwill to a child who deserves it ;) Today was one of those days were you two were pushing each others' buttons all day. Let's try harder tomorrow to show one another love, okay?

Please remember that you are a child of God. Remember that he loves you. You have a purpose here on Earth. You were meant for bigger things than you could ever imagine. You are unique and special and full of light. Remember to sing this song if you ever doubt how special you are- "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine". Remember to sing this song if you ever doubt who you are- "I am a Child of God, and he has sent me here, has given me an earthly home, with parents kind and dear". Remember to sing this song if you ever forget how much I love you- "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are blue".

I'm sorry that I'm not the perfect mommy. Sometimes I get upset and grumpy. It's not any fun to be around me when I'm like that, huh? Those are just normal, human feelings, though. Remember that, okay? Sometimes you get upset or frustrated or grumpy too. I'll try to understand those feelings too. That way, we can be honest and real with one another.

Let's have a wonderful day together tomorrow! I hope you both have sweet dreams of faraway places, race cars, nice monsters, and nice transformers.

What a precious little Mommy note Sara Jean. You are an incredible mommy. We all have our grumpy days. And remember how much we used to fight when we were kids? We still turned out normal. But your right- the fighting does drive the Mommy batty. Now I know why Mom always said for her birthday presents she wanted us to not fight. That's totally my request this year...

PS- remember when mom/dad used to say "why can't you not fight like the Sherry's?"

Maybe you need to say "Why can't you not fight like Mila and Sage & Lucy and Isaac?" It might work... ;)
