Riding bikes in their jammies!!! Well, mostly just Gideon. Jasper really, really wanted to wear his Captain America costume, so we negotiated a little bit and he ended up with the top on and the bottoms under a pair of pants. He has been wearing his Captain America costume about 75% of the time he spends awake and about 92% of the time he spends sleeping. When we go places in public and people ask Jasper his name, he now says "Captain America" almost every time.
I'm really sort of embarrassed about the fact that Gideon was riding his bike around the neighborhood at 5 pm today in his jammies. I really tried to reason with him but it was a lost cause. He was so set on wearing these doggy pajamas and he has become quite the strong willed almost 2 year old. I figured a happy kid is better than a screaming kid.
He's really proud of himself because in the past week he's really picked up on how to ride this little bike. He can get some good speed on it too:
Jasper is growing up before my very eyes. It kills me sometimes to think about how fast these almost four years have flown by. Does that mean the next four will fly by just as fast. Oh, just thinking about it makes my heart hurt.
J got the giggles today at Fremont Peak Park. We were passing this rock back and forth through these tubes in this cement wall. I got startled because Jasper threw the rock into an unexpected tube. He started giggling. I love it when kids get the giggles. Pure giggles are hilarious. This shot is after the fact, and he was sort of doing forced giggles, which is almost just as funny.

I think it is great that Gid was still in his Jammies. That's one of the joys/pleasures of being a kid- you can do that! He'll have to start wearing real clothes for the rest of his life once kindergarten hits, so I say let him do it all he wants!
And I think that is so cute what Jasper is saying his name is. Adorable.
