Fall Time Fun

Can't believe it's almost Halloween! We've had a GLORIOUS fall here in Seattle. Totally makes up for the wimpy summer we had... Every single day for the past week or so has been gorgeous. I really love Seattle.

I started doing a little Nature Preschool with Jasper and Gid and a few friends on Monday mornings. So far it's going terrifically. Last week we went to the Arboretum and learned about fall time. Today, we went to our P-patch and learned about soil and worms. I think we'll head back over to the arboretum next week and have a little lesson on wetlands. It's hard with such little kids because their attention span is about 5 minutes. I've been planning these lessons that go way too in depth so I really need to work out the kinks and scale back.

Seeing the way Becca is homeschooling her kiddos really inspired me. I've been sitting down with Jasper every day or other day and working on letters and math. He's really good at math, for a three year old. I'll draw out pictures of fruit or race cars and make up scenarios involving addition and subtraction and he totally gets it.

We went to a U-Pick Pumpkin patch on Friday! We had such a good time. The weather was perfect!

Nothing better than a wheelbarrow ride with four kiddos!

The very, very fun highlight of this weekend was having my childhood friend Lynda and her boyfriend Ben come to visit! We had a great time catching up and hanging out with my other childhood friend Sally, who recently moved to Seattle. I wish Lynda lived closer! She's soooo good with kids and my boys love her. They both asked about where Ben and Lynda were today :) Total bummer, on my part, because I didn't get a single picture of them! Lynda, if you read this, send along some pics you took!!

that once a week co-op sounds like such a fun idea Sara! I wish we lived close enough to join in! And how fun that Lynda came to see you.

I love the 2nd-to-last one of Gid -- such a great smile!

How are you making the white frame around your photos??
