We spent some time doing this:
And this:
Of course a hay ride was in order and the highlight of the day for all the boys:
One of the farms was really geared towards kids. They had an antique tractor for kids to climb on:
A sorghum maze, a bean tepee, and a gourd tunnel for kids to explore:
These farm tours are so much fun for me but also heart wrenching. I want to have some land of my own so badly. I see these farmers with their sun browned faces, rough hands, dirt under their fingernails, mud stains on their carharts, and my heart just cries out- "I want to join you and become one with the land too!". I know that my time will come and I will continue to hold to this hope that someday I will have a farm of my own. I just don't want to be too old of a lady. I want to be somewhat young and able when that time comes. Anyway, there's a little piece of my heart for you...

Sara, you're the best :-)! I hope you get your farm soon too. Then I'll let my kids come visit you and pretend they live on a farm for awhile :-)!
