I've been sick and that hasn't been so fun, but I'm feeling better at this point. This little pea is SOOO active. Way more active than Jasper. I first felt the baby move at 16 weeks (which is pretty early). Rob felt the baby kick at 17 weeks! I think that is unheard of! This baby is constantly kicking. I think Rob, Jasper and I are really going to have our hands full with this little one.
Today we had our ultrasound to check all the organs: heart, brain, spine, face, kidneys, bladder, arms, legs, toes. Everything looked normal, which brings great peace to my heart. I've been having some really, really weird dreams lately about birthing a frog. To see that it was in fact a little human that was doing all that kicking and not a frog made me quite happy.
We also found out that we are having a boy!!! Jasper's going to have a little playmate to wrestle with! I have to say that in the depths of my heart, I kind of thought it was a boy, even though I was kind of hoping for a little girl to play princess, dress-up, and barbies with. I guess my nieces will have to put up with a thirty year-old aunt who wants to play barbies too... I've been thinking about it alot, though, and I see my sister Anna with her two little boys who look after one another and play together so well. It really will be wonderful to have these two little guys so close in age. I just hope I can teach them to love and like one another!

Hooray Sara! I am soooo excited for you :-)! I think it is so wonderful to have two of the same in a row because they will be so close growing up - little buddies! One of my aunts had 3 little boys and she always loved playing with me and getting me girly things - she was my favorite :-)!
Yay! Congrats Sara and your growing family! It will be so nice for Jasper to have a little playmate. I think that's something I'm starting to wish for my girl.
What great news!! They will absolutely be BEST friends. And when they are a little older, will keep eachother out of your hair for a bit...Yay!
That great news. Congratulations. We just had our second little girl and I have to admit that i'm glad we have two of the same sex close in age, fun friends for life. Congrats again.

Sara, You are welcome to play barbies with our little girl anytime. In return, Sean will teach your boys paintball combat tactics. Who am I kidding, he's going to teach those to our little girl too! :o)
You can play Barbies with David any time! At least at this age, he'd love it. He would stick them in his mouth, of course. But he'd chatter away at them, at least.
But seriously, this is super. I do think having to boys in a row will be fun. And yes, as your phone message said, we'll be sure that David beats up on his little cousin! JK!

Yeahhhh, for baby boys!!! You always wish for what you don't have. Someday you'll get your girl, in the mean time I'll play babies with you anytime. Just like we used to in your basement with the stink bugs.
Hooray for baby boys and brothers! There is something special about brothers, especially so close in age. Jacob and his bro are just over a year apart and to this day are giddy to talk on the phone each week. When your girl comes along, she'll have at least a couple of big brothers to protect her! Hope you start feeling better soon!
