We blessed Sage on Sunday. It was lovely. Rob did such a good job and it was really a special, meaningful occasion. We had a large group of very close friends come to be a part of the circle. It really was a once in a lifetime experience. The ordinance of the naming and blessing of a newborn in our church is really wonderful. Her name is now officially in the records of the church. It also provides for a very special bond to be formed between father and child. Rob told me yesterday after the blessing, "I feel a very special bond with Sage after blessing her. " I think it's really neat for fathers to take time and ponder what they hope, from the depths of their hearts, for their newborn child. We also had a little gathering at our house last night to celebrate with cookies and Italian sodas :)
I've been spending most of my evenings the past few weeks working on Sage's blessing dress. It turned out really nice. Here are some pictures of the dress sewing progression:

Her dress looks gorgerous, Sara, great job!
Love the fabric you used! I use that same floral fabric to make a blessing/confirmation/baptismal dress in my shop.
I am just so in love with her dress. You put some beautiful detail into it and I am blown away by how pretty it is. Great job Sara! :)
