Last fall, Gideon started going to "Monkey School" once a week. My friend, Taylor, started a class once with her two year old and invited us and a few other friends to join. She does such an incredible job planning activities for the kids each week! I'm amazed at what she comes up with and on more than a few occasions have used the activities again at home. It's really fun to have this special activity to do with Gid. I feel like we've really bonded over it. He always wants to sit on my lap and have me right close to him the entire time. He loves to chat with me about it before and after. He loves to talk about the other kids that attend. I think he knows it's his special "mommy and me" time and he looks forward to it.
This month we've been learning about monsters! Taylor had assembled awesome little monster outfits out of grocery bags for the kids to decorate last week and then they marched around acting out the monsters from "Where the Wild Things Are". Here's a few pictures I took:

Awww. thanks for the kind words, Sara. I'm glad you like it. I have been feeling like I haven't been doing a great job at monkey school so it is nice to hear positive things.
