that this week is just about over. There have been plenty of fun moments but I'm really ready for a new week to begin. Rob has been gone since Tuesday and he gets back tomorrow (huge sigh of relief!). I don't think I'm cut out for holding down the fort single handily. We had a challenging past two days and I could totally tell the boys missed Rob. I had a few mom moments that I'm not too proud of myself.... like when Gideon got into my sewing supplies and dumped them all out, or when Jasper decided to chew on "my" couch (I tell the kids it's mommy couch and they need to treat it nicely), or when the boys both bit each other- to mention a few. I've also been battling my third round of strep throat since July 4th and Gid actually caught it too, so we've really not been ourselves here in the Egbert household.
Okay, enough complaining. We had some fun times this week too. Gid and I were contagious for a few days so we did some fun indoor activities like baking cookies:
doing finger paint:
playing at the park:
working in the garden:
and flying kites with friends:

Sara, I'm glad this week is just about over for you! You are a super mom. Especially doing this all on your own while you have strep again. I hope you feel better soon. Don't be too hard on yourself. We all have our mom moments. Love you, Anna

Oh Sara, what a bummer week! I'm glad you'll have relief here soon. Don't worry: I've had so many not-so-proud-mommy-moments that I'm sure you're still way ahead of me! I hope you heal soon from this icky strep throat and that you have a better week ahead!
