Ahck! I'm so behind on blogging!

I haven't been very good about blogging lately. I had my first real bad cold since before having Jasper and it threw me for a serious loop! Being a mom and being sick is the pits! There are no "sick days" when you are a mom. I really needed to stay in bed for a day or two and just get better, but I pushed through it over the course of a week. I'm over it now so all is back to normal.

We have been having such a terrific fall, though. We've had really nice weather, some sunny days, a lot of sunny afternoons, not too much rain, and the boys and I have been soaking it up like little plants :)

A couple of weeks ago we met up with our friends the Kilburns and the Kimbles for a park playdate. Jasper, Colm, and Max played together SO well. They were in their own little world, climbing, chasing, running, and talking with one another. Here's a picture of the boys making "silly faces"-

Jasper and Gideon continue to become closer and closer. It's hilarious to hear sentences coming out of Gideon's mouth about Jasper. I love it. It melts my heart. I'm going to have to video tape some of the things Gideon is saying these days.

There's this fabulous park, not far from our house called Woodland Park. We had nature school there this past week. I like this park for a variety of reasons, one being that there is no playground. I know this sounds weird but I find that my boys play more imaginatively and creatively at this park. They go hunt for squirrels, make race tracks in the dirt, try to climb trees, look for insects, and all kind of other great stuff. This park is awesome in the fall time. Here are some pictures of the boys collecting Big Leaf Maple leaves in their little butterfly nets:

One of our other favorite parks is Wallingford Park. We often go there in the afternoon and Rob meets us on his way home from work. Now that it's getting dark at 4 pm (I kid you not) we aren't doing so many of the afternoon park outings (daylight savings I shake my fist at you!!!!). We love this park, though. Had a good time playing there with our friend Max a few weeks back:

I love, love, love these pictures Sara. You are such a fun mommy and I love hearing how you are always taking your boys to some magical park. You are inspiring to me. I want to know what Gid's shirt says- something about if you think I can nap, then you should see me....

Gid sure looks like you in that photo of him with the red shirt and sandy pants on (I think about 3rd from the bottom). Totally looks like a baby Sara Jean photo.

Ahhhh, these are the BEST photos. I am missing some of that fall leaf action...your boys are just beautiful Sarah. Can you handle it? Your little Gideon is looking so much like you now! He's growing up. I hope I get to see you in person some time in the near future. We just love you guys!

Sara, I love seeing these pictures of your boys in the dirt. Our boys are always half naked and playing with dirt or mud and I always feel a little guilty, like, what do the neighbors think? But I loved dirt as a kid and I want my kids to be happy and love the outdoors and not be afraid of dirt, so we let 'em go. Anyway, it was validating to see these pics on your blog. Your boys are so cute, by the way. I would kill for a kid with curly hair!
