Cousins and Corvallis

We took another super short trip down to Corvallis so that we could see my brother Marcus and his family while they were in town last week. This time Rob was able to come with us which made the drive seem like a piece of cake. We were only there for two and a half days, but it was sooooooo worth it! It was so nice to see my brother. I love him so much. He's been under a lot of pressure the past 6 years as he's pushed his way through med school and now into his residency. I'll be so happy for him when he's all done and he can have a somewhat regular schedule. My brother's wife, Becca, is the most awesome sister-in-law in the entire world. He seriously married one of my favorite people on the planet. I'm so glad she's part of our family. They have two kids- Jack (age 6) and Eliza (age 3), who are adorable. I've been telling everyone about what a great job my bro and sis have done with teaching their kids manners. Eliza and Jack are two of the most polite children I've ever met. They say "please" and "thank you" as just a regular part of their vocabulary without having to be prompted or nagged. Pretty impressive :)

Of course, seeing my mom and dad is ALWAYS a treat for myself, Rob and our boys. We love every minute we get to spend with them. What a blessing to live so close that we can pop down on a whim. I'm planning to spend most of July in Corvallis while Rob hides away in a cave so that he can publish this paper he's been working on for the past three years. Hopefully I won't outstay my welcome... :)

Here's some pictures of our trip:

Eliza and Jasper "helping" Gumpa mow the lawn

Jack and Marcus on the riding lawn mower

My dad is the best. He's so patient with Jasper :)

Cute Rampton clan having a cuddle fest

My mom is having each of the grandkids make a handprint stepping stone to have in their garden and yard

Eliza and Tutu

Rocket launching!

Eliza and Jasper got along so well. They were so cute. Jasper learned how to make "silly" faces from Eliza which he's been practicing ever since.

We went down to the high school to fly my dad's remote control airplane!

I tried my best to get these two to both look at the camera and smile. Wasn't successful...

Great update! The kids all look so cute. Miss you Sarah. Maybe we'll run into each other next time we're in town? If you ever plan a trip to Disneyland, just know you always have a place to stay! Love you!
