The Egbert's finished products
I got Jasper's costume done in time for a little party our church had for the nursery aged kids. It was the perfect little party. The kids sang a few songs about autumn and Halloween, had a snack, and showed off their costumes. Just long enough to entertain and short enough to keep their attention!
On Friday night, we went to the Pumpkin Prowl at the Woodland Park Zoo. What a fabulous event! We met up with our friends the Parkers and had a great time enjoying the hundreds of carved pumpkins, acrobats, jumpropers, and free samples of food!
It's kind of hard to see, but the pumpkin top and center is Obama
Last, but not least, we spent Saturday morning once again at the zoo to watch various animals devour pumpkins. It's called the Pumpkin Bash and the zoo does it every year around Halloween time. We met up with the Parkers again and our friends the Kilburns. Here's a movie.
Topped off the weekend with a grand old bubble bath

Sara Rampton! This is Laura Conover! I stumbled across your blog tonight via Anna's--today I am a Sunday-night, search-for-Quiet-Book-ideas mom. So good to see you. You look happy, happy and fabulous! My man, Ryan, keeps our family website up, if you're interested: www.thekochco.com
Not a blog, but my email link is on the homepage.
Love you!
Laura
Oh how fun and festive! Love all the fun things you've done to celebrate autumn and Halloween!
I love how your chicken costume turned out! I would have no such luck trying to sew a costume. Good job! Are you going trick (or trunk) or treating?
We miss halloween so much! Those pictures just remind me when you guys came over to carve pumkins with us a few years ago. We tried to have a little halloween with the kids, but it's not the same here. By the way, I'll be by Washington DC area in about ten days, for a couple weeks. I'll give you a call guys!
