my sweet baby Sage

Oh my! How quickly she is growing. Already almost 5 months. Sage is the sweetest, mildest, happiest little baby. Right now, she loves her hands. She is constantly sticking them in her mouth, reaching for my face, grabbing hanging toys. She also has found her voice. She likes to yell and screech. She adores her big brothers, who also adore her. She is a snuggle bug and getting nice and chubby :)

Fun with food in February

I've been being a bit creative with my kids' food lately. With St. Patrick's Day around the corner, we've been eating lucky charm rainbows, jello shamrocks, and green popcorn.

Sage's blessing

We blessed Sage on Sunday. It was lovely. Rob did such a good job and it was really a special, meaningful occasion. We had a large group of very close friends come to be a part of the circle. It really was a once in a lifetime experience. The ordinance of the naming and blessing of a newborn in our church is really wonderful. Her name is now officially in the records of the church. It also provides for a very special bond to be formed between father and child. Rob told me yesterday after the blessing, "I feel a very special bond with Sage after blessing her. " I think it's really neat for fathers to take time and ponder what they hope, from the depths of their hearts, for their newborn child.  We also had a little gathering at our house last night to celebrate with cookies and Italian sodas :)
