The Caucus

We are so excited about the elections this year! Obama won in Washington's caucus today and we are thrilled. Today was really exciting. Rob, myself, and Jasper all attended our very first caucus. It kind of has the feeling of a community meeting, where all our neighbors got together, discussed politics and candidates and then voted. There was a very neat energy about the whole thing. People (myself included) were SO excited about Obama and the hope for the future he is bringing people.

We met lots of our neighbors!

You have to check out my friend Sarah's blog (http://severson.blogspot.com/ - she's the one who set Mike and I up). Anyway, her baby just got a super cute Obama onesie and the instant I saw it I thought, "Jasper needs one!"

Sara! I'm sorry you didn't get to see Obama. I've met Barack a couple of times, when he was a professor at U of C and he was helping out with our anti war events. He is really great! I have some friends from law school who work on his campaign, let me know if you are interesting in volunteering/getting more involved and I can send you their names.
