Jasper's new favorite thing is to get into the cupboards while I'm cooking or doing dishes or cleaning. It doesn't really bother me. In fact, I enjoy sharing the kitchen with him. He's really polite about scooting out of the way when I need to get into somewhere. I say "excuse me" and I can tell by his noises and his facial expressions he's saying the same to me when he needs into a particular cupboard.
We are still trying to figure out this whole transition into solid foods. I really have no idea how much I should be feeding him at this point (he's eight and a half months old). He's enjoying everything we put into his mouth now, so I guess that's a good sign. Jasper is such a fun baby. He's so pleasant to be around and spend time with (I hope I can say the same in 16 years!).
See the tie dye he's wearing? I made it! If any one is interested in tie dyeing, tell me. I LOVE tie dyeing!

I love your views of parenting and how you interact with Jasper. You are a fun mommy, Sara.
In all the photos Jasper looks so happy! It sure is fun to have this blog to see photos of him grow and the experiences you have.
He looks so cute digging in those cupboards!
Unsolicited Mommy Advice: If you are allowed to put baby locks on your cupboards at your place, then put them on all but one. Put tupperware or other unbreakables in it, then he won't feel deprived. Done now.
That's because Rob's had PLENTY of practice singing along to the Bee Gee's.
Oh man Sar, you are in for it. Eliza is into everything too. it is soo funny, you really just have to laugh at it!
I second Caradee's suggestion--it's not a pretty sight when they start digging in the toilet, glass dishes, salad dressing (and then spilling it all over the carpet), eating out of the garbage, Eucerin (and then covering their body in it), etc... We have locks on the cabinets but leave all the drawers open and let the kids enjoy dumping all the tuperwares, serving spoons, and dish towels.
To be honest though cleaning up all the cinnamon AGAIN didn't bother me as much until number four came along. So many until then you will just enjoy fishing all the toilet paper and tooth brushes out of the toilet : )
Ooo man, Sara. You've got some good stories to tell to your kids for the rest of their lives! Did one of your kids really dig into the garbage? I can totally see that it could happen- that's why we put a latch on the under-the-sink cupboard.
I LOVE mischeivious pictures! I think this is when the fun age really begins :-)!
