Folklife Festival 2007
On friday night we went to the Northwest Folklife Festival with our friends Melinda and James James. We had a very good time. Got a good dose of ben and jerry's ice cream (including their new mango sorbet which I really liked), belly dancing watching, and Seattle's punk rock teenagers. The belly dancing was really good. Jasper enjoyed it very much. He was wide-eyed and completely captivated by the music, the lights, and the red scarf one dancer was swinging around. We fear it was all a bit risque for our friends the James's, but they were good sports. The best part of the outing was a guitar and violin duo from Denmark. Their names were Haugaard and Hoirup. They had the audience clapping their hands and tapping their toes. They were really incredible.

2 month old Jasper
the bike lane
So, Rob bikes to school quite often. He noticed something quite strange in the bike lane the other day. It took me a bit to see it, but I thought I'd give all my blog viewers a try at it.

Rob took Jasper out for the evening the other night because I was throwing a bridal shower for Kathleen Tokuda at our place. It appears as though they had a good time together. Rob said Jasper was 100% content for the entire 2 and a half hours. They have quite a strong connection, Rob and Jasper. I'm just so thankful that Rob has jumped into fatherhood full-heartedly and is enjoying it so much.
