Tutu and Gumpa's House
Jasper and I drove down to Corvallis last week to visit Tutu and Gumpa and return their dog Pepper. It was a great trip. We were blessed with beautiful weather so we played outside as much as possible. Jasper loved riding his little bike around the Chipmunk Place cauldasac and spent a good deal of time collecting sticks, acorns, rocks, and leaves. We also got to go hiking with my mom and some of her friends from church and played at Central Park and Avery Park. My mom and I played three games of scrabble (I won TWO of them! I feel pretty good about myself about that). My parents are in the process of building a house out on Crescent Valley Drive. It is going to be beautiful. My dad is SOOO excited about the barn and the soil at their new place. He can't wait to start growing a big garden. He's already using the barn to build 2 canoes. He's such a great dad. I love him. My poor mother was sick with a kidney stone while we were there. She was such a trooper, though, hosting us and playing with Jasper. Jasper sure loves his Tutu and Gumpa.

My sister's adoption blog
My sister Lisa and her husband Taylor have recently put together an adoption blog. Check it out!
http://adoption-taylorandlisa.blogspot.com/
After the incredible heartache from not being able to conceive on their own, their lives have been blessed beyond words with the adoption of a precious baby boy last year. They would like to adopt again so please pass the word along if you know of anyone who may be looking for a wonderful family to adopt to.

Today
Today was one of those days where I felt like I got some good, productive things accomplished. A week and a half ago Jasper and I went out to South 47 Farm and picked apples to make into applesauce. They sat on the counter for 9 days, waiting, nagging, calling to me. So this morning, I got down to business and stewed those apples and canned them up!

While the apples were in the hot water bath, Rob and I began to tackle cleaning out our bedroom closet. This has been on the to do list for a while now. After the closet was done, I went to prenatal yoga where I got some one on one time with the little baby in the womb. I've been going for a few weeks now and it feels so great to meditate and ponder over this little baby inside me. My belly is sure getting big! I'm 30 weeks which means I start counting down weeks instead of counting up weeks now. Crazy how fast this is going by... I'm trying to cherish these last couple months with just Jasper. How can you not want to just kiss and squeeze this little guy?

We've had my parent's dog Pepper with us for the past couple of weeks while they traveled to Ukraine. Pepper is Jasper's new best friend. They kiss and hug and cuddle one another. It's really very cute. We are really going to miss her after we give her back next week-

Thanksgiving
We are really, really happy. Kim, Ally and Vince are coming for Thanksgiving!! It's going to be so nice to have them. Rob's sisters are so fun and funny and easy to be around. We love them so much.
I just reserved a pasture raised, organically fed, hormone free turkey from a local farm, Meadowwod Organics and took the Puget Sound Fresh pledge to eat local this Thanksgiving! Check it out-
